In 2013, food halls were starting to pick up in the big cities around the world. Manila still didn’t have one.
Food halls offered a great experience that restaurants couldn’t: a bustling energy fueled by the sheer amount of variety and scale. We loved the idea and decided we were gonna build the first one in the country.
Hole in the Wall is Manila’s first food hall, and still widely considered by many as the best. We carefully curated each of the tenants (and we built most of them our own) to make sure that we had a great mix of food. We spent time working on the playlist, designing every single detail, and training our team to deliver the best experience possible so we could build a landmark dining destination.
